The Sleekbook, Envy 17 And The HP Envy 15 Review

The Envy brand from HP is a new line of laptops that are very high performers targeting the market of the people who seek portable computers with an attractive design. The HP Envy 15 review shows that the 15 inch version is also part of this array that according to its name is 15 inches in size. It is regarded upon as a medium level gaming and multimedia laptop that boasts an elegant design. It is assembled using quality plastic, and a little bit of aluminum.

This brand of gadgets has Chiclet type of keyboards that make typing on them much easier and faster. The keys also have backlights to help you see in the dark. It also has a large enough touchpad that is adequately sensitive with a single bar for both the two mouse buttons at the bottom of the pad that may not be pleasing to some.

An i5 dual core or i7 quad core processor is what powers each Envy branded laptop. The Graphics processor on the other hand for each computer is either the Intel HD or the Radeon from ATI. As per their performance, laptops that come with the former have weaker graphic capability while the latter is used for applications that require higher quality graphics such as gaming.

The display on this computer has LEDs to light it up and 15.6 inches in size. Consumers have an option between a 1366 by 768 or a full HD IPS panel screen resolution. The second option however costs more. If in need of a bigger screen size than this, you may opt for the HP Envy 17 that has a full HD screen of 1920 by 1080 resolution. However, the 17 inch version is more or less the same as the 15 inch version with regards to quality and features.

One of the reasons this HP laptop is called a multimedia laptop is the quality of sound that comes with it. The PC is installed with quality sound systems made by the world renowned sound company, Beats by Dre. Some models are even custom made to incorporate a sub-woofer in its casing that produces high quality bass. To control all these features, there is a button on the side of the computer that grants access to the equalizing unit software.

The 15 inch model has a slot loaded DVD drive. In case you would wish for a drive that supports blue ray, you will have to choose the 17 inch model instead. The computer has 8GBs of RAM expandable all the way to 16GB.

Storage will not be a problem since there is an option from 500 GB to 750 GB hard drives. The ports are well distributed around the laptop with the vent at the back side. The notebook boasts a long battery life on wireless web browsing.

When compiling the HP Envy 15 review, you cannot fail to mention the HP Sleekbook. It is a light and thin version of the brand. Like the 15 inch model, it is powered by second and third generation Intel processors. The laptop has a long battery life of 8.5 hours to keep the user working when not plugged in. Graphics processing can be provided by either Intel HD or an ATI Radeon 7670 discrete graphics. The laptop is equipped with beats audio to give high quality sound.
