Sega owned gaming studio Three Rings Design who developed this game have announced the release of iPad version of their game on 20th of June 2013. Studio sources have informed that the game's apps for other versions of smartphones and tablets would be released shortly.

This game can be played by children as well as there are no horrifying characters or bloodshed and the 'swashbuckling' swordfight too would be done without gory battles. These swordfights would be played through funny puzzles like kids puzzles which the younger lot would love to play. Even grandparents too can play along the grandchildren and thus have total family fun. Puzzle Pirates is not a heavy strategy game like Travian or Battle Dawn but a cool online puzzle game with good action based themes.

It is neither an intensive mouse-clicking game like Bejeweled or Mummy Maze but more of using your brain cells. In this game, graphics are minimal, sounds are pleasant and no complex usage of mouse buttons. Of course the many actions of the game need to be performed by using mouse but it is not that complicated as it would be some games.
