Medallion, which places ads on your lock screen, asking users to vote for the ads they want to see

Medallion, a start-up that pays for Android users to engage with ads, now requires users to influence the type of ads you want to see.

When users install Medallion, they'll start seeing ads on your lock screen, and you can swipe to the left to find an agreement, see a movie trailer, or you want the commitment. (Or can slide back to using your phone.) Users get paid a cent for every ad they see. This may not seem much, but co-founder and CEO Yunha Kim says it can build up over weeks and months, and users can give the money to charity, put it on the map gift or just cash.

From Medallion launched a month ago, Kim said the team "has received thousands of emails" asking users specific brand ads.

It may seem a little strange to actively seek ads, but Kim attributed it to the fact that only allows high quality ads medallion in the system - which he describes as the lock screen (another possible explanation, "personal sacred space.": If you have an interest in seeing the ads, you might try to get ads you find interesting and relevant).

So earlier this week, the team launched a Medallion MyAds page where users can submit the names of the brands whose ads they want to see, and they can vote in the marks made by others. The company then encouraged the page with a medallion of ads, and brands that are currently - in descending order - Sony, Samsung and Google are now more than 1,000 votes.

Not a first conductor means that users will begin to see the Sony, Samsung and Google announced next week. "We have to do a good job with that," Kim said, "If anyone says." Hey, I want to see ads for Samsung, I can not call and ask for their advertising. There is a sales cycle. "

He added that his goal is to make the announcements of the most popular brands Medallion this holiday season.

Medallion has been downloaded nearly 90,000 times since its launch, Kim said, and there are about 80,000 active users.
