The newly formed partnership between, Hasbro, and the creative forces behind the popular Facebook game, FarmVille, has breathed new life into four children's games. The pairing, which was announced last February, has also resulted in the creation of two home versions of Zyngas hugely popular Words with Friends. Both versions of Words with Friends, and the updated versions of Hasbro card games, Memory, Old Maid and Go Fish, along with Hungry Hungry Hippos, all of which now feature FarmVille characters, hit stores in October.

The popular on-line game which resembles the popular Japanese video game series, Harvest Moon, is a real-time farm game that at the height of its popularity was the most played game on social networking site Facebook. It was launched in June of 2009. A sequel, FarmVille 2 Was launched in September of 2012.

The farm simulation game, which is similar to mainland China's now defunct Happy Farm and other games of that genre, engages would be farmers in the performance of daily chores such as raising farm animals, and the planting and harvesting of crops, that are necessary for maintaining their farms. Although there is a paid option to upgrade, the game can be played at no cost to the player.

The classic Hungry Hungry Hippos game has been renamed to Hungry Hungry Herd, and features some of Zynga's familiar virtual farm faces; The different colored hippos have been replaced with animals more suiting a barnyard. There is a pig, a horse, a cow, and a sheep. The plain white marbles have been replaced by four colors, each representing the specific favorite food of one of the animals. The game includes fifty dollars in farm cash for parents to use in the on-line FarmVille, and retails for a little over twenty dollars

The longtime favorite of kids preschool aged and up, Memory has also had a makeover. The new version of the game which features a Disco Dancing Sheep to hold the cards, has also added a second way to win the favored remembering game. Players can win in either the traditional way, or by matching the baby animals with their parents. The game includes twenty in farm cash for the parents and is available for fewer than ten dollars.

Also available at just below ten dollars is the new version of Hasbro's card game, Old Maid. The cards that now feature caricatures of faces familiar to the online farming community are accompanied by their own Rockstar Cow card-pouch. Parents receive twenty in farm cash when they purchase this updated version

The pouch for the newly designated FarmVille Animal Go Fish game is in the shape of a chicken. Just like the updated versions of Old Maid and the Memory game, its cards have also undergone a total transformation. It also comes with an on-line farm cash incentive, and is priced at less than ten dollars.

The partnership between the company whose mission is connecting the world through games, and the board game king has given birth to eight new games in all. For the eight and over set also has comes CityVille Monopoly, Draw Something, and CityVille Skies. Just as with the children's games, each of the new games comes complete with complimentary money to be spent in FarmVille or other Zynga virtual worlds.
