Using An Internet Marketing Company To Assess Oculus VR

By Robbie Sutter

Late last month, Facebook made the announcement that it had purchased Oculus VR. For those who do not know, Oculus VR is the company behind the head-mounted virtual reality gaming device known as the Oculus Rift. The strangest thing about this story, though, is that it had garnered many opinions. However, it's safe to say that most of them were negative. There is more to consider with this story, though, and I am sure that an Internet marketing company can place a greater level of emphasis on it.

One of the greatest criticisms that I have seen about Facebook's acquisition of Oculus VR is that the focus will be on social media to a fault. Those who have backed the Oculus Rift in the first place were, primarily, gamers and most of these individuals do not care about networking features. They simply want to experience what can be brought to the table in terms of game play. There is a tremendous amount of concern over this but is it an aspect that is warranted to the perspective of an Internet marketing company?

Kickstarter was the reason why so many people knew about the Oculus Rift and, by proxy, had the opportunity to back the project. Many individuals put forth tremendous amounts of money into it, which goes without saying. However, the fact that Facebook practically took over the project left a lot of backers wondering whether or not they had wasted their time. However, given the fact that these people will still be given their rewards, it's not like they were cheated out of something that they were promised in the first place.

There are actually many more positives to consider with this acquisition, as I am sure that firms such as fishbat would be able to attest to. It is worth keeping in mind that Facebook is, by and large, an entity that has a tremendous amount of money by its side. What this means is that there is very strong chance that the development associated with the Oculus Rift will come about at a speedier pace. I believe that this can make many backers happier in the long run and I am sure that any Internet marketing company can agree.

Hopefully this means that the more that Facebook backs Oculus VR, the sooner that the virtual reality device is able to make its way into stores as well as the hands of backers. I have seen the Oculus Rift and it is, in a word, impressive. It gives me hope that gaming can develop over the course of time and become an even more engaging experience than it ever was before. I have to believe that, with this news, it will do the Oculus Rift a world of good.
