Finding Adobe CS Serial Number

By Henry Lipton

The Adobe Acrobat premium software requires a key to work. The Adobe CS serial number is usually installed on a cache file on your PC. In cases of upgrades a new sequence can cause conflicts in operation and therefore knowing how to deal with the problem can ensure smoother function.

Every program includes serial numbers in order to identify the software and activate it. Once the product has been validated by the unique sequence it is ready for use. Finding your pin can prevent people duplicating the program and ensure that the platform remains licensed.

To avoid your old sequences being in conflict with the new installs or duplicate software, it is important to locate the cache folder containing this information. Explorer can provide the location of the Computer, C drive when searching on the desktop. Once you have found the C drive, you will need to access Program files, Common files, and then CS folder.

The next step is to find the PCD file where the numbers are located. In some cases a message will appear indicating some form of system conflict upon the performance of an upgrade. Should this occur, one will need to identify and remove the older sequence.

When notices occur that state an expiration has been detected, it results from the old digits that the computer has not replaced. The next step is to locate the PCD subfolder in the C drive and to delete then reinstall the software. If your licensed has expired or is recognized as invalid, the conflict messages will also appear.

Before making the decision to delete these folders, ensure that you have backup discs or the actual file download. It may also be a good idea to create a restore folder on the desktop in the event something should go wrong with the reinstall. The Adobe CS serial number is located in the cache files on the desktop requiring an authentic license to operate.
